Hi everyone! I hope you've all had a lovely week! I know I haven't been around much but this was my last week off of work and I wanted to get as much swatching done as possible so I pretty much focused on that.
Today, I have two new AEngland shades to share with you : Hurt No Living Thing & Excalibur Renaissance.
Hurt No Living Thing is the latest addition to the Heavenly Quotes series, inspired by the namesake Christina Georgina Rossetti poem :
Hurt No Living Thing is a sheer smokey grey topper infused with a hot pink/purple shimmer, delicate and edgy. I decided to use it over AEngland Ascalon but I also wanted to see if it was buildable so swatches below will show 1 coat used as a topper and 4 coats on its own.
Excalibur Renaissance is a re-edition of the now discontinued Excalibur from the AEngland introductory collection : The Mythicals. I didn't see any difference with the original release so I didn't include any comparisons. It's a highly pigmented and saturated silver foil metallic. Formula was nice and easy to apply, completely opaque on the first coat but I recommend using 2 for maximum smoothness. Shown below : 2 coats.
Overall :
I completely fell in love with Hurt No Living Thing. There are a lot of clear based shimmer toppers but the smokey base really sets this one apart. Just looking at it in the bottle makes me happy!
As for Excalibur Renaissance, it's the ultimate silver foil. Full manicures, accents, nail art, stamping, you can easily achieve any desired look!
A England is available for purchase directly on a-england.co.uk and retails for £9 each.
For sales outside of the UK, please refer to international retailers list.
"Hurt no living thing;
Ladybird, nor butterfly,
Nor moth with dusty wing,
Not cricket chirping cheerily,
Nor grasshopper so light of leap,
Nor dancing gnat, nor beetle fat,
Nor harmless worms that creep."
