If you've been reading the blog in the last couple of days, you must have been expecting yet more Rescue Beauty Lounge lacquers and today I'm excited to show you some beautiful "reds".
Chinoise is an extremely bright, pigmented and glossy jelly red. I don't think red could get any more classy than this. Perfect coverage and application in 2 coats. Pure LOVE.
Killa Red is an amazing burgundy red jelly. Almost vampy, as its name suggests, it was inspired by the dangerous blondes in Hitchcock films : a classic! I used 2 coats in the swatches below and I suggest waiting a good couple of minutes between coats to avoid cuticle drag as it usually happens with dark jellies. Other than that, no issues whatsover, formula was even and self levelling, a pleasure to work with.
And now, Black Russian! First, I need to say that I've always thought Black Russian to be a black based red glitter like many others : China Glaze Lubu Heels, Eyeko Vampira,... But that very first stroke of polish completely proved me wrong. Girls, it's a shimmer! A glorious, sexy, vampy shimmer, infused with different sizes of red glitter. I must say that it doesn't happen to me very often, actually a couple of times at most since I've started blogging, but I didn't want to take it off and go on swatching. That's how much I love it! So yes, it's very dark and unless you look at it in direct lighting you will not see it in all its complexity but it's so worth it. And needless to say, it almost applied itself in 2 easy coats.
Overall :
I really feel like I've been repeating myself in the last couple of days so I'll keep it short : I absolutely love them! Don't you?
