After 2 nail polish marathon days, my friends and I decided to "take it easy" on day 3.
We went dusty hunting in Apeldoorn, in a small nail discounter where they had some China Glaze.
We didn't find any really old collections but they had the "new" Konad nail polish line, including some special effect topcoats. Unfortunately they weren't on display so I couldn't take any pictures.
Then we went to Hengelo Overijsel to another wholeseller / nail supplier called NailXL. They are the official Nfu Oh distributor in Holland and also carry... wait for it... Golden Rose holos, Scale Effects and Graffiti Nail arts... You know, those gorgeous flakies and crazy shimmer crackles, right? The ones Deniz from Emerald Sparkled posted (here) a couple of months ago...
Well, here's what the store looks like, I did go crazy with my camera there ;-)
Well, all that polish got us hungry so we went to a "famous" trendy restaurant in Arnhem, where my friends live, called So-Phi, we had a very nice dinner, the only downside being the wait there, terrible :'(
And in case you're wondering, this was just for one person, LOL... but they were smaller IRL than they look here.
Well, there went another wonderful time with my friends in Holland.
I really encourage you to check out NailXL online shop, the prices are very reasonable and the owner super nice. My friend had already bought from them and the customer service was amazing, super fast shipping, sturdy packing,... And they take Paypal and ship to the rest of Europe as well.

See you tomorrow for some more Dutch adventures!
Haha, I'm in such admiration for your "taking it easy." I had no idea Holland was such a great nail polish destination! ;) Sounds like you're having a great time! xx
ReplyDeleteFun, Fun. How are you planning on getting what stash you buy over there home? Waiting and mailing it all to yourself? Thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteEverything is so gorgeous including the food. Nice trip!
ReplyDeleteWow!! I know you guys had a great time. The polish and the food looks soooo delicious! :D
ReplyDeleteWow! I've never even seen an Nfu Oh nail polish IRL so I probably would have gotten one of each if I'd been there. ;)
ReplyDeleteAhh I want to roll in the polish.
ReplyDeleteAnd the food looks great! I have no idea what any of it is except for the dessert plate, but it looks gorgeous.
I'm glad you're having such a fabulous adventure! ^_^
Wow, that's just amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat's A LOT of polishes! I'd probably die in a place like that :D
ReplyDeleteOMG. I'm speechless! *_*
ReplyDeleteI want everything! I've never visited Holland, I definitely should plan a trip there ASAP. :D
Lucky you! Now you're making me want to go to Holland right now!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the NailXL link, at least I can virtually buy from Holland....

I've already ordered from NailXL, it's true their stock is good and their customer service is nice, but beware, their shipping price for international starts at 15 euros or so. It's a bit hard to swallow to have to pay as much for shipping from Holland to France as for the US to France... But I guess that with group-orders it gets really interesting.
ReplyDelete@Fairy Lélie Hi, it is true that international shipping costs €14,95 (€17,79 incl. taxes). But this is what a international shipment costs with TNT Express unfortunately. So no profit is made with this, in fact the costs are higher most of the time (but we charge only €14,95).
ReplyDeletegolden rose is a Turkish brand.
ReplyDeleteyou can see the whole line here: http://www.goldenrose.com.tr/
moreover, you can find a brand which is also a Turkish brand and named Flormar. the brand's nail polishes are very nice too..

@Esther: Oh, I'm sorry if it sounded like I thought you were making profit on it, it wasn't my intent at all. I was just sharing my experience with your shop (which was very satisfactory). TNT guarantees fast and secure shipping but it's also true that many shops propose several options that allows for cheaper prices (for inferior service of course), leaving the customer free to choose the level of service they're ready to pay. You made a different choice for your shop and it can surprise people, that's why I mentionned it :)
ReplyDeleteWooooW! In what city in Holland have you been? I'd like to go there next summer and definitely need to visit these stores!

Looks like polish heaven!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! And that food looks exquisitely delish! :D
ReplyDeleteWow, looks like you found polish heaven ;)
