Hi girls! This week I decided to play with spectraflair a bit more. I wanted to franken a topcoat so I just used clear nail polish and pigment.
Here it is, one coat over Misa Office Polish-tics :

I'll try and post a few more color combinations with Moonstone in the next few days. If you have any requests, I'd love to read about them in the comments.
I wish you all a great weekend!
If you want to have more informations about spectraflair, you can read my previous post here or better yet have a look on MUA.
WOW this looks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to do a holo topcoat with my spectraflair. Would you mind telling which clear topcoat you used?
I am drooling. This is awesome. I was so hesistant to order spectraflair, but maybe I should reconsider. It is awesome!
ReplyDelete@ChaosButterfly I just used clear polish, not topcoat. I don't think topcoats should be used for frankens.
ReplyDeletexoxo.
i'm completely in love with holos at the moment and so this one was just amazing!!!!
ReplyDeletecould you try it over h&m's peppermint fusion?? you nown the perriwinkle blue with the almost lilac sheer???
*jaw drops* Wow.
ReplyDeleteI have a question about frankening...I have some glitters that I used to use in my craft business, but I'm wondering if you use a glitter that is heavy, as opposed to a lighter flake, will it fall and be too heavy to create a good polish?
ReplyDeleteMake a dark green holo!!! Unless you've already done that, which I'm sure I would have remembered.
ReplyDeleteYou and your frankens are amazing!
ReplyDeleteSo cool!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
Great idea!
This looks gorgeous, well done!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see it over Red. A little darker red, not like tomatoes or Santa :)
ReplyDeleteWow ! Mesmerizing !!!
ReplyDeleteI love love love this, so pretty
ReplyDeleteThat is insanely awesome. Where do you get the pigment now that you can't find it on ebay?
ReplyDeletenice effect! how'd I wish we have that particular brand in our country. I love nail polishes! I have been lemming to bright colors lately since its summer
ReplyDeleteI have a queastion for you.. What is franken? I googled it and found that it was a place in germany. However I think it means something else when you write it. Of I hope so :) By the way, I love love love the moonstone polish, it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAm now following your blog by the way :)
ReplyDelete@Ru$h duly noted!
ReplyDelete@polarbelle Glitters can settle/sink at the bottom of the bottle if you use regular polish. If you don't want them to sink, you can get a special supension base (TKB has some)or start your franken with a polish that already has a bit of glitter (and then suspending agent in its formula). Otherwise you'll have to shake your bottles everytime you want to use them :(
@thenailaholic The same seller has them on ecrater. There's a link at the end of last week's FF post.
@StineN franken=frankenpolish. It's a nail polish that you create by mixing several polishes together or polish with glitter/pigment.
That's one awesome topcoat! *drools*
ReplyDeleteTagged you for the Top 10 Award!!!!! http://thenailaholic.blogspot.com/2011/06/top-10-award.html
ReplyDeletei'm in love with it <3
ReplyDeletetrop beau ce franken ! bravo
what brand is "moonstone" ?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous It's a franken, that means that it's a polish I created by mixing polishes or in this case polish+pigment.
