This Summer Dior is releasing a new Limited Edition, numbered, nail polish, "Saint Tropez".
A vibrant turquoise, specially created for the opening of its boutique in Saint-Tropez. A reminder of the sparkling waters of the French Riviera.

In terms of formula Saint Tropez was a little bit in the thick side. I had some bubbling issues but I'm pretty sure that's because of the heat we had to endure today. I added a bit of thinner and put it in the fridge for a couple of minutes and it seemed to help. Other than that, opacity was really good, 2 coats, and the color is just amazing. I also looooove that sparse silver Dior Shimmer, I know it's barely visible on the nail but I can't help myself.
I'll be posting some more comps very soon but in the meanwhile here's how it looks with Chanel Nouvelle Vague :
Overall :
Saint Tropez isn't revolutionary in terms of color or finish but I love it anyway. What can I say I'm a sucker for turquoise ;-)

ReplyDeleteUh oh... I feel my wallet cringing in fear!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, absolutely gorgeous! Can't stop looking at your nails. And mine for that matter ;-) I had no problems with the formula, but the temperature here in Holland was not as high as where you are. And I was very pleased that I had no streaky issues (like other light blues or baby blues).
ReplyDeleteI am always wondering about that hidden Dior Shimmer, I've kinda accepted it's not really visible on the nail, although it adds fantastic shine and depth to the mani. But I keep asking myself if that would be the "secret" ingredient responsible for such perfect formulas of Dior, even in this turquoise polish. You know turquoise, and all other light and baby blues don't usually apply easily. And shimmer polishes, definitely are the easiest ones in term of applications, in my experience.
I've been roaming through my stash, searching for comparisons, the only one that came a little close to Saint Tropez was Essie Greenport, and L'Oréal Waters Edge.
For me in summary, I couldn't be happier, it took my breath away when I saw it the first time, and I think I even screamed when I received this little pretty ;-)
Thank you for sharing Sam!!! Love your blog!!!
