I had a special request from one of my friends today : a Spring "layering" manicure.
Since I haven't posted a lot of pinks, I went through my stash, searching for the perfect combo, and OPI Teenage Dream immediately appealed to me but I didn't want the regular glitter over cream layering so I decided to add a subtle holo on top of that.
I used :
OPI Panda-Monium Pink, 2 thin coats,
OPI Teenage Dream, 1 thin coat,
Catherine Arley 670, 1 coat,
And both base and topcoat.
Overall :
I really like this layering, the holo is subtle but gleaming and the subdued glitter underneath really adds a beautiful sparkle without being too pronounced.
I think I might try the glitter / holo mani more often with the upcoming sunny days.
What do you think, do you like it? Is pink nail polish your thing?
It looks pretty (like everything you show us)! :) I love it! <3 I'm really not into layering but you can add a total different dimension to polish. :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! Looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt came out beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThat's so beautiful! I never think about layering. I always figure I can find a polish I like with what I want in it.
ReplyDeleteLOVING this combo, it's so pretty
ReplyDeleteI adore this.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, I love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love it! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteTrop beau !! :)
ReplyDeleteI love how original your creations turn out....I'm not normally a 'pink' kind of gal, but I must say that this combo is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm really happy you like the combo girls! I often go to "layering" (or frankening but that's another step to make) when I can't find the exact nail polish I'm looking for, so many possibilities...
ReplyDeletexoxo.
I love to layer and I love pinks this came out so gorgeous I adore it !
ReplyDeletegorgeous!
ReplyDeletenice layering! it's so pretty
ReplyDeleteExactly the kind of inspiration I was looking for!!! This is indeed the perfect Spring layering, so sweet, so tender but yet with the glitter and holo to give it a little zest! I love it how you have done this.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing, you really know how to inspire the prettiest manicures.
I love pinks and I tend to buy too many so this is such a good way to get use out of them! Very pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is really ineteresting... And I just love the way it turned out!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so pretty and girly! Pink is not my favourite color, but I do think it looks good on me and it reminds me of candy, so I occasionally wear pinks.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so beautiful! I'm intrigued by these Catherine Arley polishes. They're gorgeous, but I'm guessing they're not 3 free?
ReplyDeleteI like this very much!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been wearing a lot of pinks lately, but they're simple and chic in pale tones and very energetic in more bold shades. This layering is just perfect, as Marionne wrote the glitter and hole give it the right amount of zest! ;)
ReplyDelete@soknitpicky Good news!!! Catherine Arley's are hypoallergenic and Big 3 Free. I want them too now. LOL
ReplyDelete@soknitpicky Actually the Catherine Arley nail polishes are 3free, so that's awesome :D
ReplyDeleteThey just don't call them that way but "hypoallergenic". I just looked at the ingredients.
xoxo.
That settles it then! Guess who's placing an order pronto?! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteoh my freaking goodness..that is beyond pretty!! I really love this color combo!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow!! This should be all together in 1 bottle! BEA-TI-FUL!!!
